Organised by the German Chamber of Trade for Spain, the meeting will take place on 23rd June in Valladolid
Spanish-German meeting on Biomass District Heating and Cooling
Tuesday, 19 May, 2015
The main aim of this initiative, organised by the German Chamber of Trade for Spain with support from sector associations AVEBIOM and ADHAC and funding from the German Ministry for the Economy and Energy (BMWi), is to promote the development of thermal networks using biomass in Spain and initiate commercial or technological cooperation between enterprises in the two countries.
The invitation to attend the event, which will be held in Valladolid at the PRAE (Environmental Resource Centre), goes out to all professions in the sector who are interested in discovering the most efficient applications and newest technologies for using Spain’s great potential for biomass resources. The German body stresses that “using these natural resources for thermal uses through district heating and cooling entails a considerable energy saving for users.”
The programme of activities includes talks by German and Spanish experts and presentations of products and experiences from six German enterprises in technologies linked to the use of biomass in district heating and cooling. In this way, attendees will be able to learn the details of several case studies of District Heating and Cooling in both countries. Likewise, there will be debates on the business opportunities and the market outlook that biomass generates.
The meeting is aimed at energy managers in municipalities that are interested in reducing their energy bills; consultancies, engineering companies and project organisers that are active in renewable energies; Energy Service Enterprises (ESE’s); energy supply enterprises; installation and maintenance companies; energy producers; commercial distributors / partners; Administrations and public institutions that work in the energy field; enterprise associations; technology and research centres and universities; funding bodies and the specialised press, etc.
But the activities of the German Chamber do not stop at the meeting. Between the 24th and 26th of June individual meetings will be held between German and Spanish companies all over the nation. These encounters, which will preferably be held at the head offices of Spanish companies, will help start up direct bilateral contacts or strengthen already existing trade relations.
Six German companies with wide-ranging experience in efficient technology and applications in successful projects will be taking part in the Trade Mission and will be seeking to make contact with local Spanish enterprises. They are: abc-advancedbiomasssolutions, AHWI Maschinenbau, Brandes, Heizomat, Herlt y Kutzner+Weber.
